Fantasy cricket on Fan Arena

How fantasy cricket works inside the Fan Arena app.

Fan Arena fantasy cricket is built around a simple idea: you build line-ups for real cricket matches, we track how those decisions perform, and everything stays on the free side—no deposits, no paid entry formats, and no monetary rewards. Your “score” is how well you understand the game.

This page walks through how matches are listed, how line-ups work, how scoring is structured, and what Fan Arena does to keep the experience clear and responsible.

Fan Arena Fantasy Sports is a free fantasy cricket experience for adult users (18+) in India, only in regions where fantasy sports is allowed. Not available in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Tamil Nadu.

The high-level flow: from match list to performance history.

Once you are inside the app, everything revolves around three simple questions:

  1. Which match are you interested in? You start by choosing a live or upcoming cricket match from the match list.
  2. Which players do you think will matter most? You build a line-up that reflects your read of the match context.
  3. How did those decisions perform? As the match is played, your points update in-app to reflect what happened on the field.

There are no deposits, prize pool pop-ups, or cash-based outcomes attached to this flow. It is about following the match with a clearer structure around your own predictions.

Line-ups: how team building works in Fan Arena.

Fan Arena line-ups are designed to feel like building a balanced cricket side. Exact numbers can vary by format or competition, but the structure always follows a few basic rules so that the game stays understandable and cricket-first.

Core selection rules.

  • You pick a fixed number of players for each line-up (for example, 10 or 11 players).
  • You build from the squads of the two teams involved in that specific match.
  • You can’t exceed the maximum number of players allowed from one real-world team.
  • You must respect role-based requirements (for example: minimum batters, bowlers, all-rounders, keeper).
  • Some formats may ask you to choose a captain and vice-captain to reflect your strongest calls.

Why these rules exist.

The rules are there to keep line-ups realistic and strategic. Instead of just stacking one team or selecting only obvious stars, you have to think about overall balance: powerplay, middle overs, death overs, spin vs pace, and batting depth. That is what makes the experience feel like a cricket exercise rather than a simple checklist.

A simple example line-up.

Imagine an upcoming T20. The app may ask you to pick 11 players with at least:

  • 3–5 batters
  • 3–5 bowlers
  • 1–3 all-rounders
  • 1 wicketkeeper
  • Maximum of 7 players from any one team

You then decide how heavily you want to back top-order batters, how many death bowlers you trust, and whether conditions make spin or pace more important. Fan Arena simply records those choices and scores them once the match is played.

How scoring works: performance, not payouts.

Fan Arena scoring is built to mirror how players influence a match: runs, strike rates, wickets, economy, catches and other in-game actions. The exact numbers and weightings can change by format and will always be explained clearly inside the app.

Importantly, scoring in Fan Arena is only used to calculate in-app points and rankings. It does not unlock money, it is not tied to payouts, and it is not meant to be read as a financial outcome of any kind.

Points and rankings have no monetary value.

Points, ranks, streaks, or badges shown inside Fan Arena are indicators of performance inside the app only. They are not redeemable for money, do not convert into anything of financial value, and should not be treated as a form of income or financial gain.

Match types and formats supported by Fan Arena.

Fan Arena focuses on major cricket formats and competitions. The exact fixtures available at any given time can vary, but the structure of the product stays consistent: clear match tiles, simple status labels, and line-ups linked to each game.

International fixtures

Limited-overs internationals and key multi-national tournaments may be supported, with line-ups tied to specific matches rather than series as a whole.

Domestic leagues

Franchise-based tournaments and domestic leagues may appear in the match list, depending on coverage and scheduling. The same line-up principles apply in all cases.

Format-specific rules

T20, ODI and longer formats can each have minor differences in scoring to reflect how those games are actually played. These are explained clearly for each competition.

Availability of specific matches and formats can change over time. Where a match is not listed in the Fan Arena app, you will not be able to create line-ups for it.

Fair play, limits and responsible use.

Although Fan Arena does not involve money, we still treat fair play and balanced use seriously. The app is designed for individual fans who want to follow cricket more closely—not for automated scripts or attempts to manipulate leaderboards.

Our systems may include checks for realistic sign-up patterns, per-device limits, and other basic safeguards. Where we detect behaviour that goes against our Terms & Conditions, access can be restricted.

On the user side, we encourage people to treat Fan Arena as one part of their cricket routine, not as something that needs to be open all day. The Responsible Gaming page has practical suggestions for keeping usage in balance.

How Fan Arena differs from cash-focused fantasy platforms.

To keep expectations clear, it helps to highlight what Fan Arena deliberately does not do. This is not a judgement on other products; it is simply a statement of how Fan Arena positions itself.

No deposits or wallets.

Fan Arena does not ask you to deposit money, maintain a wallet balance, or make payment decisions connected to fantasy play. The app is free to download and free to use for eligible users.

No cash-based prizes.

We do not run contests where performance leads to cash rewards. Any badges, rankings or highlights are for in-app tracking and have no monetary value.

No financial framing in messaging.

Our marketing and in-app text avoid suggesting that fantasy cricket is a way to earn money. We focus on cricket decisions, not financial outcomes.

Clear age and region boundaries.

From the website gate to in-app messaging, Fan Arena is explicit about being for adult users (18+) in eligible regions of India only.
